Man dragged into alley, beaten, and robbed

October 31, 1:30 a.m.

A 31-year-old male reported to police that he was attacked in an alley by three unknown offenders near the corner of Halsted Street and Aldine Avenue, according to reports. The non-offender said he was walking home from a nearby bar when he was suddenly dragged into an alley by two unknown men. The offenders began beating his head and body and yelling “give me your cell phone.” A 32-year-old male heard the non-offender screaming and came over to help. The two offenders fled, and met up with another man who was acting as a lookout. No arrests.

Apartment broken into while man was sleeping

October 31, 3 a.m.

A 23-year-old male reported to police that his apartment was broken into while he was sleeping near the corner of Aldine Avenue and Halsted Street, according to reports. The non-offender said he was sleeping and woke up to find an unknown offender in his apartment. The non-offender got up and when the offender saw him, he fled with two computers. The offender entered and exited the apartment through the front door. No arrests.

Apartment broken into on Wilton

October 31, 8 a.m.

Two males in their 20s reported to police that their apartment complex was broken into near the corner of Wilton Avenue and Grace Street, according to reports. The non-offenders got back to their apartment after work and noticed that an unknown offender robbed their place. The non-offenders live in a garden apartment and a bedroom window was shattered. The offender stole a gaming system and two laptops. No arrests.

Man sprayed with mace in robbery attempt

October 31, 11 p.m.

A 24-year-old male reported to police that he was attacked and robbed near the corner of Buckingham Place and Halsted Street, according to reports. The non-offender told police that he was walking up to his apartment when three unknown offenders jumped out of a bush and sprayed him with mace. The offenders demanded that the non-offender hand over his belongings. The non-offender attempted to fight back and began yelling. The offenders fled. No arrests.

Man robbed on Roscoe while walking home from bar

November 1, 4 a.m.

A 26-year-old male reported to police that he was robbed near the corner of Roscoe Street and Halsted Street, according to reports. The non-offender said that he was walking home from a nearby bar when he was pushed against a fence by an unknown offender. The offender told the non-offender to “give him his stuff” or he would shoot him. No gun was revealed and the non-offender gave the offender his cell phone, wallet, and camera. No arrests.

Male robbed at gunpoint while walking to work in the morning

November 1, 7 a.m.

A 28-year-old male reported to police that he was robbed at gunpoint near the corner of Kenmore Avenue and Waveland Avenue, according to reports. The non-offender said that he was walking southbound on Kenmore with his headphones on and was approached by two unknown men. The offenders began talking to the non-offender, which caused him to remove his headphones. The offenders told the non-offender to give him everything he had while showing a handgun. The non-offender said that he removed his laptop bag, which contained his laptop, wallet, and cell phone. He also gave them a money clip containing cash. The offenders told the non-offender to turn around and then fled. They drove off in a maroon SUV. No arrests.

Male sexually assaulted in an alley, no arrests

November 4, 2 a.m.

A 21-year-old male reported to police that he was sexually assaulted near the corner of Aldine Avenue and Broadway, according to reports. The non-offender told police that he was walking home from a nearby bar when he was approached by an unknown offender. The offender told him that he had a gun. The non-offender began walking westbound on Aldine to get away from the offender, but the offender grabbed him and pulled him into an alley. The offender sexually assaulted the non-offender, stole his cell phone and fled. The non-offender reported the incident and went to a nearby hospital for examination. The non-offender said that the offender was wearing a red hoodie and black jeans. No arrests.
